Recently, there was an attack on nightclubs and airports in the United Kingdom. Thankfully, there were few injuries, but had circumstances been slightly different, there could've been many deaths.

Within this decade, terrorism that only happens "over there" has come directly to the capitals of Western civilization.

In view of this, we cannot responsibly abandon the field in Iraq. At this moment in Iraq, we are able to kill or capture terrorists, often before they strike. If we were to leave Iraq, the terrorists would realize that America hasn't really changed since Vietnam- still so scared of a few casualties that it'll run away if you prick it. The terrorists would be emboldened to instill further fear in us, by attacking in our own cities, at our businesses and nightlife and airports. Time and again they've demonstrated their desire to do so, and on some dark days, they have succeeded.

We must take the fight to them, and right now Iraq is one of the major battlefields. Our soldiers are scouring the field looking for the terrorists before they can do harm to others. Let's support them in that task and demonstrate that America will courageously hunt down murdering terrorists.
