Independence Day
Happy Independence Day! We really do have a great country. It's filled with kind, generous people. Our nation has a lot of freedom, a lot of opportunity, a lot of justice, a lot of peace, and a lot of prosperity. We can thank God for these blessings. It's also important to realize that a lot of people had to choose to have these things every day. They, and we, have to make the choices for hard work, for not interfering with our neighbors, for abiding by our laws, and for changing the laws properly when we ought.
Also, those in our armed forces are part of what makes our country great, because they have a lot of self-control, willingness to abide by the law, and desire to help their neighbors. Their sacrifices sometimes include the ultimate one. Their families and friends also have had to bear loss because of these sacrifices.
Let's celebrate them, and the other people and things that make our nation great.
